Description: A well shaped woman just over fifty, she wears well tailored gowns and hats with beautiful decoration. She is almost always dressed for an outing in high society. Her dark red hair is drawn into a tight pony tail with a rose scrunchie. Her eyes are likewise black.

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. After coming to the age of reason, Astaro took it upon herself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Description: A stocky darker skinned woman, she likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. Her white hair is braided into rings. She wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into her face.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She has worked as a Gardener like her father before her.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and many brigands want her driven away

Description: The dark-skinned man stands 5'10" and wears a violet feathered hat and violet clothes. He has a silver handlebar mustache and slicked back silver hair. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are amber.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. Nim is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Half-Elves became a terror of the countryside. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

Description: An older man who wears a grey vest with golden trim over his white shirt. His tan leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and his grey boots flare out at the collars, he is not a threatening figure. His silver hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are gray.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Olunt lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has worked as a Layabout like his mother before him.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and to get a good night's sleep
