History: Mastema hails from a village terrorized by brigands. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 10 years.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and doesn't want to be a dyer and was forced into it by her family
