History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Varis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

History: She was raised in a desert tribe. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She bought a greataxe and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Tabaxi artifacts is his passion; and he desires power and/or immortality
