History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bryseis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bryseis. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.
