History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Through the years after Verna was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Verna's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Verna and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Gale was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now mingles about in high society.
