History: He comes from a rich southern family. He found a children's book about a Gnome Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Through the years after Shump was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Shump's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.
