To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Hadwisa. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She considers herself a woman of culture and sophistication. She likes a good challenge to her wits. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: A child with a great deal of dancing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
