History: She was born in a small island village. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Shax took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up scimitar and armor she uses now. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Farmer work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. Some 10 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Emma never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: Her druidic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. In her 14th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She was granted druidic powers by her dying brother.
