History: Morkral hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

History: Gifted from a young age, Ratak studied abroad. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
