History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Joan was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: She is witty, but her monotone delivery comes off as unnerving She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. In her 13th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
