Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. During his travels, Varis and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Varis discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Varis fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

Personality: He is a Bowyer first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 5 years.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Interpreter for the past few years.

Motivation: To be a Seamstress again; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
