Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Guard arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

After coming to the age of reason, Findex took it upon herself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland.
