Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Guard born in the past three hundred years. He is obsessed with his god.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Guard. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. Balimaar is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tabaxi companion (his 'brother'). He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He's in love; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: She was born in the east. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
