The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Halimath was born on a far western plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Scribe. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
