Personality: Laucian is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Laucian was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Laucian's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: She comes from a rich western family. Ostracized due to the martial powers of her oldest sister, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and many dire rats want her driven away

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Don grew up listening to his father's many stories. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Painter. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
