History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Emerald was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Farmer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born to a Barkeep, his mother struggled to pay the bills. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Her white hair is thinning but still full. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her first spouse was a Butcher, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. After a long history of fighting, Donella and her spouse have recently divorced.
