He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Dwarven doctor. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He has a crush on the local Bricklayer; and a strong sense of loyalty to dwarven people
