History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside her partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

Description: 4'8" and muscular, this southern woman is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright tan and violet, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. She has wavy chestnut hair. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: Shanairla lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She was granted psionic powers by her dying sister.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and doesn't want to be a doctor and was forced into it by her family

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Scribe born in the past three hundred years. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Her necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
