History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Barakas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. History: She was raised in a plains tribe. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. After a long history of fighting, Shax and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and she feels threatened by others
