Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Joan took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up bastard sword and armor she uses now. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 15 years.

She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.
