He prefers to carry a sai, but if one is not available he will default to his whip. His brass crest is smooth and relatively long. Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the north. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. After a long history of fighting, Shamash and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it; and to reunite with his absent mother

Personality: She is a jovial happy person, but she is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Vanchu fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
