History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Dwarven conditions. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Gurdis was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.

To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ildrex fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
