History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Broce grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Broce. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Description: A man with a warm, jovial air about him, he is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright green and pastel, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. He wears a deerstalker hat to hide his balding. He has a tattooed face.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Forcas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Painter they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Beggar, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. As a young child she wandered into the woods despite her father's warnings against it. Afterwards she claimed she had encountered brigands who tried to eat her hand. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
