History: He was born in the west. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Balam was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. In her journeys she found a malevolent artifact. She wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Furrele decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
