History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. After a long history of fighting, Malquis and her spouse have recently divorced.

She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Phann fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He moved out east to avoid the crime he committed. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and seeks redemption
