History: Arava was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. In her youth she was a Courier, and wanted to be a champion fighter when she grew up. She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger sister on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Kali lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. After a long history of fighting, Kali and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Marry her brother to traveling adventurers.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He got into the Knight business at a young age. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Knight work with an outfit from a few towns over. Knight work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
