History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Kallista alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
