Description: A man with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. He is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. He wears a Stetson hat to cover his moderate length rusty crest. This gold eyed northerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Nykkan's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: He was born into a rich family. Nykkan was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Beggar. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Burgell was born the youngest of three triplets. His first spouse was a Body Guard, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She disdains her fellow northerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 10 years.

His attire stands in sharp contrast to his scimitar, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a cross on it. His chestnut hair is lengthy. His gray eyes peer out from beneath his broad red hat.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the north were limited. He was granted psionic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away.
