History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Thorpe was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He got into the Mason business at a young age. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Mason.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and sabotage a competitor
