One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Curran took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up quarterstaff and armor he uses now. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

History: He got into the Fortune-teller business at a young age. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He struck the Fortune-teller job and began his own company from there.
