Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. Mardnab is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Spice Merchant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She's also a talented Jeweler, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Wants to raise her children well.

History: He comes from a rich western family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has achieved small success as a Brewer.

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. After a long history of fighting, Mishann and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To be a Tailor again; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
