History: Verin was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and wants her loneliness to end

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.
