History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Marigold was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
