History: She was born into a rich family. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Elven artifacts is her passion; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and she desires to right it

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Pennie was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Zook grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He found a children's book about a Gnome Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Carter and occasionally as a mercenary.
