He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and wants to raise his children well

Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.

Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. The war was a terrible time for her, and Emmeline does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Shepherd for hire.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service.
