A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered illithids who tried to eat his hand. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and money/treasure
