History: He was born on a small isolated farm. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Stylist hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Merla is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Merla was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and she feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world

History: Lance lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When Lance reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions.
