History: Volen lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. One day when Volen was young, her father was sewing while trying to overcome the flu, when suddenly her father dropped to the ground dead. Her father had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Volen was heart-stricken from the event, and her mother started working long hours to provde for them. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent father; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

History: He was born in the south. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Nirgel grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Nirgel. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
