History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Gesrethe was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Through the years after Caelynn was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Caelynn's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She now mingles about in high society.
