His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Curran took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up club and armor he uses now. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: Gifted from a young age, Shane studied abroad. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Shane grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Shane. Being a Scribe kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
