She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Laborer. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Through the years after Vani was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Vani's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
