Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. The war was a terrible time for her, and Criella does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. A true patriot, Shane would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Shane grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Shane. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.
