History: Born in the west to a Crown-heir, Nirgel learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Scribe work with an outfit from a few towns over. Scribe work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Scribe for hire.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Marigold was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. A freak accident while working with her Engraver father left her crippled. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
