Her father taught her the rudiments of the Fortune-teller arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.
