History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Apothecary. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Apothecary for hire.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. Balam was born on a far eastern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Beggar. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Gardener they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Beggar, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Beggar and was forced into it by his family.
