History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Personality: Naal is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She bought a spear and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.
