Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Varis embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Elves. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his painting with anyone who is interested.

History: Varis was born the youngest of three triplets. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Shepherd. He became a Shepherd soon after.

Motivation: To be a Sculptor again; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: Varis lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
