Shifting grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Shifting. She has achieved small success as a Dilettante.

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. Nala enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born in the south to a Blacksmith, Nala learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Blacksmith.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
