History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Anthony was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He worked as a nervous Miller and found it very stressful. He tends to his Miller job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: She was born at the edge of vast plains. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Spice Merchant. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Spice Merchant for hire.
