Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 2 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Merla never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Gimgen alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it.
